We're all together!

Yesterday was truly remarkable. It's hard to know what to say for the most part. We went and picked up Yun Zhen, filled out lots of paperwork and took pictures of the "hand over" part. Yun Zhen immediately went to sleep and then we brought her back to the hotel. We played a lot. She's very interested in crinkly sounding stuff. She's afraid of me so far with my beard and all, though she has grabbed it a lot. There are not a lot of bearded folks around here. Especially bearded folks with a snotty nose and scary sounding cough. But I'm starting to feel better. You can really see what a staggering change this must all be for her. Kai has continued to be a champ in all this. He's trying really hard to win her over and she seems most at ease with him, though he's not comfortable touching her yet. She's got a sense of humor and likes to play when she's eating and we're enjoying getting to know her. When Ming put her down for bedtime she was asleep in moments and didn't wake except for once. It's kind of amazing the coping skills she has developed already. We're tired but are enjoying our trip a lot. I'll get some pictures posted here shortly.
